No one ever claimed a plane hit WTC7, not even the official story. Planes hit WTC1 and 2, but most likely not airliners, and that;s not why the towers fell. An airliner did not hit the Pentagon, and the damage to the building and the deaths/injuries were in areas away from where the flying object impacted, indicating explosions were the reason. DEW notion fails some basic evidence tests. especially the fact that the antenna on top of WTC1 started moving downward before the top section (above the impact zone) did so. 'smallpox' is a symptom. I think Tsubion is saying that maybe the blankets were infested with a new (to the natives) biting insect, and the natives got bitten all over with welts (and maybe massive inflammatory reactions to the bites) and this was called 'smallpox.' As for blankets causing smallpox, if the blankets carried bed bugs, they they most definitely could cause small pox because small pox is caused by bedbug bites. I discuss this in my book The Contagion Myth (co-written with Tom Cowan).

Did you cover the possible infestation of blankets with 'bed bugs' or mites?
Again, I don't know the details involved with such claims but that is one of the claims that is usually thrown around to suggest some form of contamination was present.
Also, I don't know what the supposed effects of encountering new parasites are. Can bed bugs even produce a reaction as severe as the one attributed to smallpox?

'smallpox' is a symptom. I think Tsubion is saying that maybe the blankets were infested with a new (to the natives) biting insect, and the natives got bitten all over with welts (and maybe massive inflammatory reactions to the bites) and this was called 'smallpox.' Not necessarily that that the bugs 'transmitted' 'smallpox' 'virus.' I think it's a good hypothesis. Biting insect parasites are real, but 'viruses' are not.
I'm sure that bed bugs are found everywhere.

The one idea we NEVER hear is the converse of "novel germs killed the indigenous of (name your place)": that "novel germs" killed the settlers-- even though at least in the 16th thru 18th centuries, European settlers died in droves in their colonies. In the USA "history," we're told that the settlers died of starvation (because of not knowing how to find/grow food in their new environment), the hazards of the voyage from their origin, retaliation by the people they dispossessed and masachered, etc. Those are actual causes of disease and death. If it were "novel germs," the novelty would have been in both directions, and those "novel germs" would have killed settlers as well as natives.
Invariably the description of the natives of wherever, by the earliest encounters, was that the natives were in robust health, while the Europeans of those days were sickly from living in close quarters in cities where sewage ran in the streets. So the idea that the natives succumbed to "novel germs" while the settlers did not is absurd.
