How so?

The problem with 'Enlightenment' is that people confuse it with science. If you divorce science from Enlightenment, then the latter is effectively an attempt to run human society on 'rational' principles rather than religious ones.

Unfortunately, 'rational principles' are only as good as the top-down axioms they're based on, while 'religious principles' are based on a bottom-up analysis of what works to make a society functional and happy. This is why normal people from Islam, Hinduism, Catholicism etc basically agree on everything.

Unfortunately, in the absence of religion, the axioms of Enlightenment are ludicrous -- there is no God; homosexual relationships are just as valid as hetero; killing babies is fine if you want to party for a few more years; the races are completely equal except for skin colour; women are just as capable at men at everything... etc.

All of those are fine as *suggestions*, but the proof is in the pudding, right? Socialism (the jewish one) for example, has been the largest killer of humans in history. Fiat capitalism, accompanied by 'diversity' has led to the destruction of the family and a massive rise in depression -- and depression is even more rampant if you realize that many people are self-medicating with drugs, alcohol and porn.

The good things of Enlightenment are technological, and they had nothing to do with Voltaire, Pope, Darwin or any other 'thinkers'.
