Funny thing is that I was, and technically still am, an expert in this field. My PhD from Princeton in early American history and literature (1997), with my research done at Harvard, licensed me to speak with authority on this topic. But every year I’ve become less certain of the things I thought I knew. Graham Hancock and Thor Heyerdahl have never had doctorates, but they know or knew way more about this sort of thing than I do. I’m gradually re-learning everything.

This indeed true , so here I would like to introduce "another theory " that has merit. Along with warfare, , enslavement , starvation, engineered famine, and outright poisoning, [JUST LIKE NOW.] I would consider the effects of consciousness , hatred, racial despise, RELIGIOUS ZEALOTRY demanding "conversion" or death. Judgement against indigenous people as "soulless heathens, as a REAL FACTOR , Consciousness is REAL , human resonance is REAL, the effects of these on human terrain, spiritual, emotional ,physiologically , should not be ignored .

I'm never going back to Canada -- pity, because around the time of Ben Johnson (the real 1988 100m Champ) and Alex Baumann I really thought it was the best country in the world. The nature's nice, but I can go to India for similar mountains and streams.

Curiously, neither did the people who built Angkor Wat or the European cathedrals.
The people who built the UofT library *did* have PhDs... you can judge the outcome for yourself...
