I don’t have much hair left so I haven’t used shampoo for a few years. However… I asked my 2 boys if they wanted to try it. They stopped 3 years ago, just using water. They’re now 13 and 16 and their hair is amazing, it smells fantastic, it smells of them! And their skin is perfect! No dandruff at all! (Bastards!) Next thing to tackle is toothpaste!

Thank you for sharing such a healthy way to wash and keep hair clean free of toxic chemicals, baking soda and apple cider vinegar have many uses, thankfully I only use natural products for everything about given up chocolate. I did it in a blink of the eye as soon I learn about oxalates in chocolate and many other toxic super foods we been exposed over and over as a healthy options, Thanks to Sally K Norton.

This is so ironic because I too stopped shampoo about 2 weeks ago. I also use the baking soda followed by ACV method and it really works! I have very think coarse straight hair; I was very skeptical but the baking soda actually cleans and the ACV conditions. Just like the germ theory and allopathic medicine, the “beauty” industry is a scam!

Hi Sam,

How about a no 2 haircut [it would suit you] and a wire brush like me.

great stuff for those that like hair.

BTW i'll send you some chocolate. :-)

Hi Sam, where can I find more info about what you mentioned towards the end, soapless bodywash... ? Thanks

I believe it is possible to live without soaps etc. but you musty eliminate all toxins from entering your body first - that is to say - you must stop consuming plants first - humans are carnivores after all - and then I think you can clean yourself without chemicals.

I saw a guy in India claiming to not have had a shower for 20 or so years. I thought "what a smell he must have" but I now think that the smells only arise when we eat the wrong food - which pretty much everyone does every day. Cheers

Thanks for this. I tried doing this once and failed - had seen info on the bicarb and vinegar - this was helpful and now I will try again.

Amazing testimony! Good luck with the chocolate next. I find swearing oaths to the Creator extremely beneficial when battling addictions.

This is great, the more people i hear of not using commercial products the less I feel 'dirty' and 'different' from the hoards, the easier it is to continue... eg; I haven't showered for 3 years because of the fluoride in the tap, (turned my shower cabinet into a food storage cupboard) I catch rain water, put it through a Berky (because of chem-trails) and pour a basin full and use a face cloth to wash my body with a couple of squirts of organic baby soap in it, don't even rinse that off, and hey, I'm still alive and kicking (72). I also recommend bi-carb and apple cider vinegar for hair and apple cider vinegar for any round worms caught from the dog etc. Thanks Sam, Yah bless <3

Love the no soap / no shampoo. I also find that after washing my hair in hot water in the shower, that a quick final rinse in cold water closes the hair cuticle leaving hair soft and shiny. I just turn shower to cold, lean my head back so that only my hair is in contact with the cold. Feels brave too.

My former ballroom dance partner had huge long hair and never used shampoo and she smelled great even when sweating. I wasn’t sure how she managed it but now I know. Thanks Sam. Can you make a video on your journey to using no body soap or recommend one? Thanks again.

I have thick long hair and I used the baking soda and vinegar method for a few years. At first my hair responded very well but eventually it became dry. I found out that baking soda can be abrasive for the hair over time. I now rotate between the Viori Chinese rice soap and conditioner and The Morrocco Method non-foaming pure herbal shampoos. I

can also recommend a YouTube channel called "Katherine Sewing" where a young Canadian woman shows classic sewing methods to create historically accurate garments and shoes and she also shows the methods that women have used to grow and clean long hair which includes the use of clay.

Cats and dogs, even birds take 'dirt baths'... they roll around in the dirt to get rid of these oils... I would imagine, similar to baking soda.

Re the chocolates!

The flavonoids inside are heart smart - it’s the % sugar that’s the problem!!!

I confine myself to chocolate bars which are at a minimum 72% cocoa content thereby decreasing the sugar-spike effect from the highly sugared varieties! Then, no craving!

I’m a dog groomer. I’ve been using a soap free dog shampoo on myself and my clients for years. I think I’ll keep washing the dogs with it, but I am definitely going to try the baking soda and ACV. Thanks for the inspiration!

this is silly, make no mistake, you will smell bad and look dirty to others. you can use a tiny amount of shampoo or conditioner to get smell and grease out without lathering up. there are plenty of natural homemade nice smelling bar soaps to use on body including hair. no one needs to shower every single day but body odor is offensive. reason homeless are shunned.
